I reserved a car from Hertz in Concord, NH in July 2021 for rental the last weekend of September of 2021. When I went to pick up the car on Friday September 24th around 4:30 PM I discovered (through a non-Hertz airport employee) that Hertz no longer rents cars out of Concord & I should take the 30 minute drive down to Manchester airport if I wanted a car. Hertz failed to notify me of the closure of their Concord office. When I attempted to call the Manchester Airport Hertz, the phone would ring, unanswered, until the line disconnected. When I attempted to call the Hertz reservation number, the automated menu took me around in circles until I got frustrated & hung up. Upon arriving at Manchester airport I was told by the Hertz employee that my reservation could not be found using my name. I needed to provide my confirmation number which I did not have. That is my fault but, in my defense, I assumed that other info (such as my name) would have been sufficient to look up a reservation. Fortunately, I was able to rent a car through Alamo & enjoy my weekend getaway. Needless to say I will never rent from Hertz again.
