American Airlines flights has a slightly different luggage policy to other airlines and offers a tiered-approach, depending on where your destination is. Flights to other cities in the States, or Transatlantic and Transpacific flights can take up to 10 bags per passenger. Passengers flying to Mexico, The Caribbean, Central America, South America or Brazil may only check in five bags. Your weight will be limited to 23kg unless you are flying Business or First Class, in which case your weight restrictions are 32kg. If you would like to take additional luggage you will need to pay a fee and this can be arranged with the airline either beforehand or at luggage check-in.
